Overview

ADL Summer 2025 Internship Description 

 

ADL’s Central Pacific Regional Team is looking for a dynamic and motivated intern to join us from June 9 to August 8, 2025.  The ideal candidate will have experience with researching, writing and editing memos and presentations; and with managing databases and regional lists.  Our internship provides the opportunity for students to gain practical experience in the non-profit environment and with ADL issues and projects, including legislative advocacy, community engagement and support, law enforcement outreach, and regional operations support.  The intern will work directly with Regional staff on all projects.

 

Application portals will close at 6 PM ET on March 7, 2025. ADL will confirm the selected candidates by mid-April.

Responsibilities

Requirements:

  • Must possess high school diploma or equivalent
  • Passion for non-profit work 
  • Desire to start building career within non-profit sector 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outreach to community members and leaders on an ADL issue of concern
  • Research and help prepare reports and presentations on antisemitism, high school ethnic studies courses in the Bay Area, and other ADL issue areas as they arise.
  • Draft minutes of meetings between ADL and community leaders or organizations in order to support regional community relations and outreach.
  • Update prospect lists for community programming and outreach purposes, including ensuring that contact lists are current. Assist Regional staff with implementing outreach initiatives.
  • Assist in administrative and operational tasks for programming and events, including outreach and marketing, compiling program materials, and evaluation.
  • Assist with marketing initiatives, including regular updates of social media and websites.
  • Participate in the ADL Summer Internship Learning Program sessions.

 

Qualifications

Skills:  

  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong research skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate commitment to ADL’s mission.
  • Discretion when dealing with sensitive issues.
  • Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to adapt to new platforms.

Compensation and Hours:

  • This internship is paid $18.67 an hour.
  • The internship is 15 hours per week.

Location:

  • This internship will be hybrid, with on-site presence required in San Francisco, California.

  • You will learn about real-life decision-making challenges and help us develop real-time solutions.
  • You will have the opportunity to present your work at internal forums within ADL.
  • You will have practical, hands-on experience with regional operations
  • Collaborate with, meet and learn from ADL subject matter experts at all levels and become familiar with the varied work we do to “stop the defamation of the Jewish people and secure justice and fair treatment to all.”
