LOCATION: New York City or Anywhere ADL has an office.

GRADE/CLASS: Grade C, Non-Exempt, Non-Union

PRIMARY FUNCTION

 

The Coordinator, Gift Processing plays a vital role in processing and reviewing gifts, ensuring high accuracy in data entry, coding, and compliance with organizational procedures. This position is responsible for managing special requirements when appropriate and assisting with donor inquiries. The Coordinator supports regular reconciliation processes and collaborates with the Revenue and Gift Processing team to standardize and streamline gift reporting and processing workflows. This role contributes to enhancing the overall efficiency of gift processing through process improvements and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Primary:

  • Process and review gifts, ensuring timely and accurate entry of gift data.
  • Maintain high accuracy in data entry and coding, aligning with organizational procedures.
  • Manage special requirements for gifts, including tribute and memorial gifts, as needed.
  • Assist with basic donor inquiries related to gifts and provide timely responses.
  • Support reconciliation processes and collaborate with the Revenue and Gift Processing team.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of efficient processing procedures.
  • Work with the Data Systems and Knowledge team to optimize gift reporting and processing workflows.
  • Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Processes gifts ranging from $10K to $25K, ensuring accuracy for higher-value donations.
  • Manages special handling for tribute and memorial gifts specific to mid-level donors.
  • Collaborates with the Major/Principal Gifts Specialist on restricted gifts.
  • Assists in managing pledge reminders and related processes for mid-level donations.

 

Qualifications

Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective donor interaction.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in gift processing systems and donor databases.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in gift processing or related administrative support roles, preferably within a nonprofit organization.
  • Familiarity with special handling procedures and reconciliation processes.
  • Experience in maintaining accurate records and documentation in a database or similar system.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience.

 

Work Environment:  

  • ADL is a hybrid environment. This role may require 3 days in person.

Compensation: 

 

  • This position has a salary range of $40,000 to $60,000. This salary range is reflective of a position based in New York, NY. Please note that actual salaries are commensurate with experience and reflect the budget for a given position, and since ADL has a location-based compensation structure, there may be a different range for candidates in other locations.
