SUPERVISION EXERCISED: No direct reports but will supervise/provide work direction to
internal (staff) and external attorneys working on litigation. Potential future direct reports include law fellows/legal clerks.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Associate Counsel, National Litigation will serve as one of ADL’s leading civil litigators, actively working with clients, and drafting complaints, motions and co-leading cases ranging from administrative actions with government agencies to federal court filings. Work on cases will range from drafting legal complaints and briefs, to preparing clients for investigative interviews with government agencies. The Associate Counsel will be a leading thought partner on the National Litigation team and will continually examine how best to use the Courts to counter the rise of antisemitism and hate. This will include analyzing potential incoming cases, and making recommendations to the Senior Director, National Litigation as to whether ADL should move forward on specific cases. The Associate Counsel will work closely with law firms across the country as co-counsel, as well as other non-profits in the litigation space. The Associate Counsel will also help serve as a bridge to ADL’s regional offices and divisional policy team, and work with ADL’s Center on Extremism (COE), Center for Technology and Society (CTS), and National Policy team.
