The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) is the leading anti-hate organization in the world. ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt—an accomplished leader and entrepreneur in the corporate, public, and nonprofit sectors—was recruited to the organization in July 2015. He has injected new energy and brought a bold vision to the agency. Under Jonathan’s leadership, ADL is transforming itself, upgrading its capabilities and pioneering new horizons.   


The T&K team is small, mighty, talented, diverse, and highly collaborative. The SVP, T&K, to whom the Manager, Talent Acquisition reports, has extensive experience in large, blue-chip companies (e.g., GE, Citi, Cigna), as well as smaller, entrepreneurial environments. The SVP reports directly to the CEO and is a key member of the executive team. 




Working closely with hiring managers, T&K, and other team members, the Manager, Talent Acquisition is responsible for the entire talent acquisition process and works as a strategic partner to maximize recruitment efforts.  


  • Responsible for the full lifecycle talent acquisition process including sourcing, screening, recommending candidates, and negotiating offers.
  • Develop recruitment strategies, job posting strategy, digital and non-digital employment branding, comprehensive recruitment campaign planning, and talent acquisition planning.
  • Work closely with hiring managers to understand their needs and to develop customized strategies to source and attract the best available talent cost effectively.
  • Ensure the establishment and maintenance of productive partnerships with staffing agencies.
  • Develop and deliver educational/training materials to hiring managers to enhance their effectiveness, minimize bias, and ensure legal compliance.
  • Track and report hiring data and key metrics to assess the organization’s hiring effectiveness.
  • Manage the recruitment of interns as well as other specialty hiring programs.
  • Continuously improve talent acquisition and hiring-related processes to attract top caliber talent and support ADL’s strong commitment to DEI.

  • Strong organizational, management and administrative skills, including the ability to handle high volumes of work and competing priorities. 
  • Must be proficient using LinkedIn to source candidates and effective creating a presence on social media.

Work Experience:

  • The ideal candidate has highly developed skills in interviewing and negotiating offers with candidates. Additionally they can demonstrate a progressive increase in responsibility in a recruiting function, ideally including managing and developing junior staff.
  • Prefer minimum of 3 years of recruiting experience, with a variety of roles at different organizational levels and at multiple locations a plus.
  • Must have experience working with ATS systems.
  • Experience in or exposure to other HR disciplines a plus.


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • An MBA, a master’s degree in Human Resources, or additional HR professional training/ certification is a plus.

Work Environment:

  • ADL COVID-19 Protocol (updated periodically): ADL is adhering to CDC, state, local, and federal orders regarding COVID-19. This role will start as a remote position but may transition to a hybrid environment when offices reopen.


  • This position is a Grade G1, which has a salary midrange of $99,000 to $125,000. This salary midrange is reflective of a position based in New York, New York. Please note that actual salaries are commensurate with experience and reflect the budget for a given position, and since ADL has a location-based compensation structure, there may be a different range for candidates in other locations.
